What this says
Current to 13 Oct 26Marcus Bell sent the formal renewal notice for the Growth subscription. Liam Doherty is unsure what renewal looks like and expects finance to question paying for 40 users when few are active, though users still find value.
Ask: Marcus gave notice that the term runs to 30 Nov 2025 with renewal starting 1 Dec 2025, copied Tom Ashdown, and asked for a usage call before any paperwork.
Customer view: Liam is not sure yet what renewal looks like and wants to answer his finance team properly. He says the value has not gone, but too few depots use it.
Next: A call next week, with Liam bringing a short plan for getting depot managers on board.

- Marcus Bell 1 Sep 2025 12:09Hi Liam, I'm writing with the formal renewal notice for Brackwell's Growth subscription. Your current term runs to 30 Nov 2025, and the renewal is set to start on 1 Dec 2025. I've copied Tom, who looks after the commercial side, so he's in the loop from the start. For reference, the subscription is currently £44,000 a year and covers up to 40 licensed users. Before we get to paperwork, I'd like to talk about how the brain is being used, because I want the renewal to reflect what's useful to you rather than just roll over. The numbers I've pulled show fewer people using it than in the spring, and I know we touched on this last month. What I'd suggest: - a call in the next couple of weeks to go through usage together - a look at which teams and questions are worth building on - Tom picks up any commercial questions with you after that Shall we book half an hour? Let me know what works. Thanks, Marcus
- Liam Doherty 4 Sep 2025 08:09Marcus, Thanks for the note, and for copying Tom. Appreciate you giving us plenty of warning. I'll be straight with you: I'm not sure yet what the renewal looks like on our side. The usage is lower than I'd like and I'd want to be able to explain that to our finance team, who will ask why we're paying for 40 users when so few of them are active. That's a fair question and I'd rather answer it properly than wave it through. The people who use it still find it really useful for spotting retail contracts that are wobbling, so it isn't that the value has gone. It's that I haven't got enough of the depots using it. Can we do the call next week? I'd like to come with a short plan for getting the depot managers on it, and then we can see what makes sense for the renewal. Cheers, Liam
