Current to 13 Oct 26Linnea Holm asked how to add custom calculated columns to dashboards. Olivia explained how to use the formula editor to create calculated columns from existing fields.
Linnea wanted to calculate the ratio of online to in-store sales per customer segment. Olivia clarified whether this was a cross-source or intra-field calculation, then directed her to Columns > Add Custom Column > formula editor in the dashboard builder. She offered to send examples. This demonstrates strong product adoption: Lindqvarn is building sophisticated multi-channel analytics into their dashboards.

- created · Linnea Holm 23 Sep 2026 08:32Hi, I'm trying to add custom columns to a dashboard we're building but I can't find where to do it. I've looked in the dashboard builder and in settings, but no luck. Can you walk me through it? We want to create a calculated column showing the ratio of online to in-store sales for each customer segment.

Just to clarify - are you looking to create a column that pulls data from two different sources, or are you calculating based on fields that are already in the brain? That'll help me point you in the right direction. Thanks, Olivia
- public_reply · Linnea Holm 24 Sep 2026 09:15It's a calculation on fields we already have in the brain. We have sales data from both channels and want to show the ratio in one column on the dashboard. That way we can see which segments are stronger on each channel.
- public_reply · Olivia Grant 24 Sep 2026 11:44Perfect. You can do this with a formula in the dashboard builder. Go to Columns, select Add Custom Column, then use the formula editor to calculate your ratio. I can send you a guide with a few examples if that helps. Let me know. Thanks, Olivia
